Terms of Service
The terms that govern use of OrbiFabric’s website, Cloud services, local tools, and self-hosted products.
Last Updated: August 10, 2026
1. Acceptance and scope
These Terms of Service govern your use of orbifabric.com and OrbiFabric services, which may include OrbiFabric Cloud, OrbiSeal, OrbiVerify, APIs, Cloud Anchor, Platform, Enterprise, and future products or services. By using a service, you agree to these Terms.
A specific software license, quote, order form, enterprise agreement, support agreement, or other product-specific terms controls if it conflicts with these general Terms.
2. Local tools
OrbiSeal is intended to be a free local tool for creating Trusted Delivery Packages, and OrbiVerify is intended to be a free verification tool. Some components may later be available under an open-source license. Any applicable software license controls the use of that software.
3. Cloud services, quotas, and payment
OrbiFabric Cloud may offer a usable free tier and paid incremental cloud services. Current quotas, usage limits, prices, and payment terms are disclosed in the applicable product interface, pricing page, checkout flow, quote, or order form. Paid features will be presented with applicable charges before purchase or activation, and we will not retroactively charge for historical free use.
4. Self-hosted products and professional services
Pricing, license scope, renewal terms, optional capabilities, deployment, integration, support, and professional services for self-hosted products are governed by the applicable quote, order form, license agreement, or enterprise agreement. Self-hosted products are intended to be licensed according to those agreements, rather than through automatic per-user, per-project, or per-package charges.
5. Accounts and authentication
You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, avoid sharing security credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. We may offer password, Google Sign-In, or future SSO authentication methods.
Using Google Sign-In does not mean that Google sponsors, endorses, or operates OrbiFabric.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Services or assist others to do so.
- Distribute malware, conduct credential attacks, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the Services.
- Use the Services for unlawful content, infringement, fraud, or to circumvent usage limits.
- Manipulate Cloud Anchor, falsify evidence, compromise audit or verification systems, or misrepresent forged evidence as authentic.
- Interfere with the security, integrity, availability, or rights of other users, customers, or service providers.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of your files and business content. Using OrbiFabric does not transfer your ownership or copyright to us. You grant OrbiFabric only the limited rights needed to provide the online service you request.
For local OrbiSeal, local OrbiVerify, and customer-controlled self-hosted deployments, these Terms do not grant OrbiFabric a broad license to your files or business content.
8. OrbiFabric intellectual property
OrbiFabric retains rights in its brand, trademarks, website, proprietary software, Cloud service, Platform, Enterprise products, documentation, and related materials. Open-source components or future open-source tools are licensed under their applicable open-source licenses.
9. Trusted evidence boundaries
OrbiFabric may provide technical mechanisms for cryptographic verification, file-integrity verification, signatures, hashes, timestamps, audit records, evidence chains, and Cloud Anchors. It does not independently verify the truth, legality, ownership, authority, or substantive accuracy of user-provided content.
OrbiFabric is not a legal authority, notary, government certification authority, or a guarantee that a record will be accepted by a court or that use of the Services automatically satisfies a regulatory requirement.
10. Self-hosted customer responsibilities
Customers operating Platform or Enterprise products in their own environment are responsible for their infrastructure, users, storage, backups, networking, access policies, local security, and customer data. The responsibilities for installation, deployment, managed assistance, or support are defined by any applicable service agreement.
11. Third-party services
The Services may integrate with third parties such as Google authentication, infrastructure providers, email services, payment providers, or external identity providers. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. OrbiFabric is not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
12. Beta and preview features
Some features may be in active development, preview, trial, or early availability. We may change, improve, replace, or discontinue them as we learn. For paid features, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of material changes.
13. Service availability
We aim to operate the Services reliably, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, security incidents, infrastructure issues, and events outside reasonable control may cause temporary unavailability. Any enterprise service level commitment must be stated in a separate written agreement.
14. Suspension and termination
We may limit or suspend access for a security threat, abuse, illegal activity, attack, fraud, serious violation of these Terms, or non-payment for paid services. Except in urgent security situations, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
15. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties not expressly stated in a written agreement, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the extent permitted by law, OrbiFabric will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity. Any liability for a paid service is limited as stated in the applicable order form or agreement; otherwise, it is limited to the amount paid to OrbiFabric for the affected service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where law does not allow them.
16. Export and sanctions compliance
You must comply with applicable export-control and sanctions laws when using the Services.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for new products, Cloud commercial launch, billing, Platform, Enterprise, SSO, APIs, legal requirements, or other material changes. We will post the updated Terms and revise the Last Updated date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice when appropriate.
18. Governing law
A governing-law jurisdiction is not specified in these general Terms because OrbiFabric has not yet published the applicable legal-entity and jurisdiction details. If a product-specific agreement includes governing-law terms, those terms control for that agreement. We may update this section once those details are formally established.
